About Us

Tuyo= “Yours”

Creating events that represent you and your values.

Welcome/Bienvenidos!

I started Tuyo because caring for people has been a value passed down to me from many family members. I grew up hearing stories about my grandmother’s Mexican restaurant and helping my mom host and plan events for her community. I was my mom’s right hand for every event she created and every party she catered. My father always taught me that it is blessing to serve others and after becoming a mom, I realize that truth more and more every day.

With over 10 years in the restaurant industry and my most recent role as a community organizer with Brown Girls Climb, I also hold a deep appreciation for attention to detail. I “excel” in dealing with logistics and have witnessed how seemingly small choices at the beginning of an event planning process can bring transformational impact to the people we reach.

I believe the foundation of any successful project is rooted in authentic relationships and clear communication. My approach to problem solving is rooted in a deep understanding of the factors and experiences that shape the people and challenges I encounter. Through this approach, my hope is to contribute to justice-oriented solutions and strategies for collective and individual growth. The most important part of any work I do, is the people I do it for and with. Event planning is just one of the skills I have to exercise this value and I am proud to offer it to individuals and organizations as a helpful resource.
